Oh my cornpudding is SOOOOO yummy. Mom makes it every year, and she uses the recipe my greatgrandmother used every holiday season. I had to go to a work related Christmas party once and everyone thought I was a nutter for saying I'd pring corn pudding, but I left with an empty bowl. lol

I'll request the recipe (my copy is somewhere between here and America) and post it for you. :) It really is yummy. I know it has creamed corn, eggs, milk, and butter in it. I'll get the proper recipe though! :)

Oops, I told you it was yummy, but not what it tasted like. It obviously has big corn flavor. Don't think of this as pudding like Jell-o pudding. It is fairly smooth because you use corn pudding, it has some sugar in it so it's not exactly savory. Compared to the cranberries it is sweet! It's most certainly a side dish flavor and not a desert. It's funny really because as I sit here and attempt to think what it tastes like all I can think of is "Yum!" lol It's the one dish that is always present on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and sometimes New Years. It's been present on the holiday table in my family for many generations too. It's also the dish that no matter how many times the recipe is double, tripled, or produced in any form of mass quantity there's very little left to debate who gets to take the extras home!

It's a bit like crumbly, moist cornbread all mashed up with whole kernal corn in it.

We eat that every Thanksgiving, but call it corn casserole...I'll have to point that out to DD when we row it next year! It's very good.
