Hello. My name is Tonya and my husband is Zach. We've been married for close to 6 years. Zach is active duty air force and at the moment we are stationed in Florida. We have two kids Gavin is 9 and Autumn is 4.
Gavin doesn't live with us. He lives in Indiana and is in the 4th grade this year. He's a really sweet boy (usually). ;) Autumn is our baby. She has been diagnosed with autism and sensory processing. She also has some cognitive delays. She has been in speech therapy since she was two, but recently graduated to a less intensive program. :)
We started homeschooling Autumn in March of this year. She had been going to pre-k at a public school. She was in the special needs program and when they decided she was ready to go into the mainstream class we pulled her out to homeschool. In her special needs class she got one on one with her teacher almost everyday. Plus I was a sub and spent almost everyday in her class. But we wouldn't have gotten that in her new class.
I started using a different curriculum, but returned it recently and should be getting my FIAR volumes 1-3 tomorrow, plus the christian supplement. I'm excited to get started on a curriculum that will hopefully be a better fit for us than the last one we tried. We are also starting math u see primer.
Thanks for reading my book. :)
