We just bought modeling beeswax and have been making lots of creations with it. This would be a great activity for when you row The Bee Tree or They Were Strong and Good. Modeling beeswax is different from any other modeling clay/stuff we have used...it is basically beeswax that has been colored. We made miniature fruits, people, flowers, etc. Here is a link....

This company had a pretty good price and the delivery was fast (which is saying a lot since we live in AK!).

Thanks! That sounds FUN! We're going to hit this book next year, and I try to add in just one extra fun thing for each book. :)

Thanks for the idea. I have always wanted to try the beeswax clay. I've seen it in the Magic Cabin Dolls catalog but never ordered. I may have to now. :)

Good link for beeswax!

I think that it was beeswax that Charles Russell used to create his figures in
Cowboy Charlie, a FIAR Volume 4 book selection.

Enjoy the modeling and all the stories! :)
