I just got our latest edition of the SPARKS! newsletter and there is a new temporary exhibit opening July 31.

It is titled George Washington Carver and it says:
From slave to distinguished scientist, Carver laid the groundwork for today's plant research. Discover the secrets to Carver's success as a scientist, an educator, and a humanitarian.

This exhibit is free with your paid admission.

Our family will be combining this with the Whales exhibit for a day trip.

Hmmmm... Maybe I'll have to drag GWC out .... or not.... we'll just have to use this as a cool "Wrap-up", maybe with our Japanese Exchange student. :)

Thanks for the heads up!
God's timing.....

Blessings~

How long will it be there? We are going back that way in September to Sturbridge Village and hope to get back to Boston during that time.

We get in free to the museum with a local membership so that would be fun!

Now we know when you're realy going to "do" GWC, hmmmm??? ;)

Will do Lisa! :)

I'll keep you in the loop. Maybe we can have a FIAR get together over there. We were in Providence and Boston in February. I'm not sure why I didn't put a call out then.

Thanks for the information! We've talked about going to MA this summer. If we do, we might need to make a side trip.

We are talking about going to Boston at the end of the summer and our membership to our local museum will allow us to get in free. However, I was looking closer at the restrictions for MOS and it says up to four individuals, one of whom must be named on the membership are free.
