So, I'm with Heather~ We were planning to row GWC last fall, but ended up shelving it till this spring.

I haven't blogged about it, but thought I would start a thread for sharing some resources.

Chapter 2:

Stuttering info (http://www.stuttering.com/amessag.htm), not necessarily for student, but interesting, describing the physics of stuttering

Chapter 4:

simple experiment (http://www.andybrain.com/sciencelab/2008/09/28/use-a-squeaky-balloon-to-teach-about-air-pressure-vocal-cords-and-sound-waves/) to show a little bit of how vocal cords work using a balloon

Another Vocal cord (http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=ct-rd-click&id=261897&tp=w&ip=96.237.29.41&pd=false&b=0&hst=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.challengerlearningcenter.com% 2FComet%2Fteachers%2Fteam_activities%2FCOMHowDoYou MakeSound.pdf&frm=http%3A%2F%2Fwsclick.infospace.com%2Fclickserv er%2F_iceUrlFlag%3D1%3FrawURL%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252 Fwww.challengerlearningcenter.com%252FComet%252Fte achers%252Fteam_activities%252FCOMHowDoYouMakeSoun d.pdf%260%3D%261%3D0%264%3D67.63.50.255%265%3D96.2 37.29.41%269%3D8a4b73ec286d470d8eabfa908ef5ca01%26 10%3D1%2611%3Dprodege.meta.swagbucks%2613%3Dsearch %2614%3D239137%2615%3Dmain-title%2617%3D19%2618%3D10%2619%3D0%2620%3D0%2621%3 D19%2622%3DkU6aVNdnoGY%253D%2640%3DXxbEgtbsrZdMc02 7xxw34A%253D%253D%26_IceUrl%3Dtrue&ncc=0&ncc=0) experiment using rubber bands
Interesting Steve Spangler experiment (http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/content/experiment/from-donald-duck-to-barry-white-how-gases-change-your-voice)(To watch, not try yourself) using Helium and Sulfur Hexaflouride
Quiet experiment (http://www.vocaldynamix.com/vocaldynamix/sample_lesson.html) to really hone in on how the vocal cords feel and sound
