What BY units are best for a summer study? FIAR makes it easy, as Volume 3 is specifically geared to summer rowing, but BY has me stumped.
So far, we've rowed Boxcar, Sarah, and Homer. We need a fourth book for the summer term this year......Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Suz

Neil Armstrong? I remember doing the walk/run thing, building different kinds of fires and making paper airplanes. :)

The Saturdays would be my choice. Don't forget that there are 3 books after that one in the series and we just love them!

There are others in this series as well, so you can just keep reading them!
There is a LOT to do here, but the story is so wonderful and fun! You can easily spend the rest of the summer on this study if you do most of the activities, but even if you just do a sampling, you can continue to read about the adventures of the cricket and his friends in the subsequent books.
This was the first book we ever rowed in BY, and it's our favorite!
I'd vote for Skylark; I know one project is to build a weather station....I almost think there is continuing work on the prairie and sea life notebooks that are started in Sarah....I can't remember now....

I would second Skylark. I plan on doing both SPT and Skylark during this summer/fall time period.
