Boxcar Children Question

We are no where near ready to use BYFIAR, but our library has several Boxcar Children books for sale in the "Book Nook". I wanted to pick it up if it's the one used in BYFIAR....Could someone tell me which one I need? I've looked at Boxcar Children Books on Amazon and there are several different ones....

The very first one is the one you want. And be careful buying others. The original author only actually wrote 19 titles. The rest are another author using her name and aren't as good.

How would one know… are they numbered (as in , anything after #19 is the second author)? We loved reading the first Boxcar Children.
