Today my children and I were reading a book about Poland since we're rowing Mrs. Katz and Tush this week. There was a photograph of some buildings, and my dd9 made the comment that some of them had onion domes--like the buildings we saw when we rowed Another Celebrated Dancing Bear & studied Russia last week.:) Then we were at the library and she found a book called The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship, which is a Russian tale. She was so excited because she found a book about Russia. FIAR has really ignited a passion in my children for learning. It's so incredible to watch my children enjoy learning and then to retain so much. Even my dh is excited about hearing what they've learned. He especially likes the part where we cook the meals from the FIAR cookbook.:yum: I'm so thankful for FIAR. It brings the whole family together in one incredible learning experience after another.
