I'm placing a RR order tonight!
Does anyone have anything I really need to add?
So far I have:
- BYFIAR vol. 1
- BYFIAR Christian character supplement
- SOTW activity book

Maybe :
- Window on the World
- Sherlock game
- some art supplies (we are missing a lot of our Prismacolor pencils)

Got anything that you think would be fun, educational or beneficial for me to order? :D

Did you already order?

Because you have to add:

jump ropes! 8' and 16' :) I recently ordered some so my kids could get better at it and these have a really great throw! We are going to the Y today to test them out in a large space. I'm teaching my kids to do the long ropes. One can do it well and the others not so much.;)
I also finally ordered the Portraits of American Girlhood

I ordered two Life of Fred books, but not from RR.

At Christmas we ordered the fun foam stuff. Your Sam would like it a lot and it isn't sticky all over.:)

Do you have base ten blocks? I have a (starter) set that I have had for nearly 20 years and i recently realized that they are one of my favorite teaching tools. They are great for teaching regrouping.

I'm all for this. But I can't find it. I'm not exactly sure what it is but something fun that isn't sticky and won't make a huge mess will be great for us. He's into absolutely everything and it would be nice to find something that would work for him.

I did a search for fun foam and came up with foam letters.

Heather, can you tell me about Portrait of American Girlhood and why you are ordering it? What is the age group for this?

thanks!

We love Window on the World, very helpful for our Geography studies!

Candace- Leslie can tell you gobs about Portraits, but it's an American Girl study. R9 is very into American Girl (http://blogshewrote.blogspot.com/2010/03/american-girl-place.html)and when we can we will do a unit here or there. ETA- it's for something like 2nd to 5th grade.

You are all terrible! ;) I should not have looked into Portraits of American Girlhood! My AG loving 10 year old would love, love, love it and she is the perfect age but as of right now, I can't see getting it for her.

Have fun ordering Rachel! :D

So glad I looked at this thread again. I think I'll be looking at the Portraits of American Girlhood again, with buying it this spring/summer.

Heather - wish our girls could get together. My little princess is so into sewing and crafting and crocheting and just learned to cross stitch the other day and it's just beyond fun. :)

I bet they would enjoy time together Rachel!

We've done some portraits this year and it's been really lovely.

I'm also teaching the second semester of The Survey of the American Girls class our our homeschool co-op. Happy sigh...

I love that class.

i think next year I will teach a little house class.

:roflol:! I have 2 of her books and not made a lot out of them. I think because they look intimidating and they have lots of meat in them which we don't eat (very much of I mean)
