My dd was diagnosed with Tourette's

I'm not sure if any of you remember me posting about my 5 yo dd. She has been having tics for over a year now. We finally went to see a neurologist this past Friday. My dd was officially diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome.

It is a relief to know that she is physically healthy...she had a full neurological exam and the doctor is confident in the Tourette's diagnosis. I was once concerned about seizures and am so thankful to know that she is not having those.

I do know there are other moms on the board who have children with tics/ tourette's. It is good to know I am not alone!

Hi Michelle, I haven't been around much lately, but my 7yos, Jacob was recently diagnosed with a tic disorder, NOS, though his pediatrician said it is most likely Tourette's. Interestingly enough, we've been taking him to the chiropractor and it has SIGNIFICANTLY reduced his ticcing! I noticed a major change after the first visit.
