I just received Vol. 1 yesteray and have already read most of it. Can I just say that I think I want to cry! That is because I am sooooo happy. Could it really be this easy? I have been looking at the extra resources at homeschool share for my dd9 for over an hour now and I am just blown away. This is exactly what I have been looking for. Something that is fun, together, and that will teach them what they need and want to know. We have already tried 3 different curriculums all of which have failed ,so I cant wait to get started. We will be starting the first of the year so now I have another question. As my budget is pretty much tapped right now, I am wondering if anyone has a good lesson plan sheet that would be free that I can use. I need something to list everything including all the extras I will be adding for dd9. I am very much a list person so I need to have it all organized ahead of time. Thanks!

Yup, it's wonderful.
I have a couple of sheets I will share with you; I'm on my way out the door but e-mail me and I'll get them to you.

Flip to the back of Volume 1. Jane has a sample lesson planning sheet and a blank sheet that you can copy and print out. That might get you started!

 Enjoy your FIAR rowing!
For a planner I made up a grid on Excel modeled after the one at the back of the manual. That way I could add in our extras.

:clap:Good for you!You really get to see how FIAR works once you you have the manuals and go through the lessons. I would come to the boards and hear the great things about the program but it wasn't until we had our FIAR books that I got to see what a wonderful curriculum it was. The FIAR planner was a great resource and worth the investment especially as a beginner.

Your excitement is evident. :) We've been using FIAR since 2005, and I'm still as excited as you are in your post.
Enjoy!
