I'm wondering about it with Jacob... he's been "twitching" for more than 18 months now. I thought it was related to some foods b/c that's always where I look first with his allergies, but this last month or two he's been doing it more again and I can't figure out to save my life what the cause is. So I've been doing some research (read: googling :D) on tics and after reading the list of tics, there are actually quite a few more things that he's been doing that I wasn't thinking as tics, but are on that list. That is a terribly long sentence!!! But I digress... And the tics have progressed/changed/moved exactly as the sites say they will for Tourette's.

I know I can't diagnose him, but now I'm just curious I guess. And not just a little bit nervous and sad, though I know that's very premature! Whether or not it's Tourette's, all of the tic disorders seem to have no cause/effect relationship to anything.

Anyone have any experience with this??

My son had tics for about 12 months and then they stopped.

Someone here on the FIAR boards has a son with with Tourette's, I think? I'll pm you who I think it is...

I know a FIAR mom that has had great success in decreasing tic by giving her child fish oils. He had his hair dyed (highlighted?) and his symptoms returned for a while.

I hope she has an opportunity to reply. :)
