There are some interesting things I am trying to understand...maybe you all can help me?
Riley LOVES to read. She reads a lot.(silently) However, when I ask her to read out loud the words are wrong! I pointed out several words today as she was reading to tell me what they were and they were just wrong. I can ask her about the story though and she knows what is going on! So, I asked her about it and she said she can hear them in her head, but can't translate it to out loud. Any ideas?
This on top of, she is still having a hard time spelling.
She can copy something very well, but if you ask her to write an answer she reverses several letters and her caps are all mixed up. Letters are bigger then smaller...
I don't know what to make of it all....
I'm excited that she loves to read and I am certainly not going to let on that I am concerned and make her self conscious...but how/what do you do to help her?
Do you think the Diane Craft's stuff would help her?
