Kendra, these are AWESOME! I love the idea of the bags! Kinda like the workbox "idea" of having it all in the bag ready to go. I think I could get all of these done and planned before Dec. ever starts and then we'd be much more likely to get to the crafts!!
I love the clothespin nativity!! Can you tell what the clothespins are on? Like the floor of the stable?
THANKS for all your hard work on this! I'm definitely going to share your blog link on my blog!

Ok, as you can see I'm still strolling through these...is the M&M craft link working for anyone else?

Love it!!! Seriously, my ds is ALWAYS asking to do crafts and this not-so-creative mama never quite gets around to them. He is going to love this December!!! Thanks so much for sharing!

Candace, that silly link is a pest! I typed it out in the resources, did it work when you typed it out?? It's just the poem which reads:
As you hold these candies in your hand
And turn them, you will see
The 'M' becomes a 'W',
An 'E', and then a '3'.
They tell the Christmas Story--
I'm sure it's one you know.
It took place in a stable
A long, long time ago.
The 'E' is for the East,
Where the star shone so bright.
The 'M' is for the Manger,
where the Baby Jesus slept at night.
The '3' is for the Wisemen,
Bearing gifts, with which they came.
'W' is for Worship,
Hallelujah! Praise His Name!
So as you eat these candies
Or share them with a friend,
Remember the meaning of Christmas:
It's a love that never ends.
I really liked that the kids saw something besides chocolate in their hands. ;) I'm glad everyone likes them.
That clothespin nativity is one of the only crafts we haven't made. I stumbled upon that one recently and know my eldest will love making that this year. I agree with you Candace, I think they are just standing on the floor .. a plank of stained wood. We'll probably use a stable we all ready have, or he'll make one out of a box.. or.. Anything is possible. ;)
ETA: You can see a shortened version here (http://www.scrapbook.com/poems/doc/7528/11.html), Here's (http://www.executivehomemaker.com/2009/03/mm-christmas-poem/) a longer version with a premade tag! :)

Kendra, those ideas are wonderful! I must admit that I haven't been thinking a lot about Christmas yet because our September has been a bit  . . . but I bookmarked your ideas for when I start planning (hopefully next month). Thanks so much for sharing!

Kendra you are AMAZING! I have been wanting to make the adorable pouches that you mentioned last year (have the fabric and buttons set aside) but haven't gotten myself in gear yet. I think I'll put it in a bag work together with DD this year. Love It!
BTW, the link for the little kid's countdown calendar keeps sending me to the Apple Computer website. I'm pretty sure that isn't where you wanted the link to go.
My printer will be humming today:) Thanks!

Thanks for sharing! I love the idea of having them open a bag each morning...I'll probably be lazy and just make one re-usable bag though. I spent this morning printing everything out. I really like the song and poem book on the hubbard's cupboard site! I'm going to start collecting all the materials now so we'll be ready to go by December 1st!

Thanks Sheryl & Michele, I thought I'd fixed it. The link should be correct in the resources, but here it is here (http://www.hubbardscupboard.org/Verses_for_Advent_Countdown_Chain.pdf) as well.
Lisa, those pouches were SUCH a huge hit! We had a separate list (http://aussiepumpkinpatch.blogspot.com/2008/10/christmas-fun.html) for those too!

Thanks again! We're also using these activities! I'm not using the bags, but we made a paper chain (there's a link for it somewhere) that lists all the Bible verses and activities for each day. My DC are loving it so far!
