That is the 3am feeding! Eliana's cardiologist approved us being able to eliminate that feeding!!! :hop: We've been feeding every 3 hours around the clock since Eliana was born. With the feeding tube it involves being up at the beginning of the feed and the end of the feed an hour later. There is less than 2 hours between the end of one feed and the beginning of another. This is so very exciting!!!
The 3am feeding has been "my feed" and so I've stayed up until 3am almost every night since Eliana was born. That's a LOT of very late nights ... and then interupted sleep until too early in the morning. This should help this sleep deprived mommy a lot. :hcry:
I'm hoping to go to sleep at 1am after her feed and then sleep for almost 5 hours. :D
I wrote more on the blog about our visit to the cardiologist if you want more details.

Leslie, you are my hero! Sleep is one thing I do not do well without. I would be such a #%@*&! with that schedule!
So, woohoo! :hop: I am so glad that Eliana is doing well enough to eliminate that from you schedule! Wow! Five hours of sleep? You'll feel so good after being so sleep-deprived! ;)
Yay! Enjoy those hours of sleep! And this must mean Eliana is doing well. ??

:hi: Leslie,
This is GREAT news. Thanks so much for sharing it.
I cannot imagine being that sleep deprived and even being able to function.
Glad to hear that things are progressing well...

Well, that explains why it's always your blog entries I see in the "latest 100" when I'm up all night.
I'm so glad for you. I know how ridiculously hard it is to get any rest when you have to be up in the middle of the night.
Hooray Eliana, and yay for mom!

Oh, this brought tears to my eyes! Maybe it's just because I love my sleep so much, but that just sounded so hard!! I'm so thrilled for you, and also that you've done such a great job and she is doing well enough to stop!! Good for you!!! I hope you can relax!!!
