Anyone else use this? If so, do you like it?
I used A Reason for Handwriting with ds in K and 1st and he didn't like it, so we switched to Handwriting Without Tears which he still didn't like until this year. We may go back to A Reason for Handwriting later.
I would like to hear about their other programs as well if you have done them.

I've used this program since my oldest was in first grade (Level A), now he'll be doing Level F next year. My younger son will be doing Level E.
Both of my sons love the story that I read to them every week, and how the words are part of the story.
We do not do every activity (as you probably suspect from trying the other programs, this is a Christian based curriculum really meant for the classroom--so not all the activities fit or are needed). We do the story, and the workbook type pages (the ones within their student books, and the ones I copy from my teacher's manual).
I like how they group the spelling lists, how they are part of a story, and how some time is spent learning other forms of each spelling word. The curriculum also covers some grammar, capitalization and punctuation, and some dictionary work (good for review of these topics, but not a complete study of them).
There may be other spelling programs out there that are geared specifically for homeschoolers, but we tried this program and liked it, so we never switched.
HTH!

Thanks Marie
When we first used A Reason for Handwriting, I never knew that any other programs in "A Reason for" exsisted. I have seen A Reason for Handwriting at bookstores and some homeschool and teacher supply stores, but never the other programs from that company.
I did a Google search for it and voila, there it was.

Glad to hear you like it Marie as I just ordered it for my son to use this year. I kept seeing so many great reviews for it that I figured we'd give it a shot.
We've never used any other "A Reason For...." but the spelling seemed like a good fit!
