Every year I try sticking to some sort of schedule for Bible, but other than our daily reading of Proverbs and reading Bible stories sporadicaly, I never stick to anything. Is there a curriculum out there that comes in a step by step guide, with maybe coloring pages for each lesson, that anyone can recommend?

Have you used the FIAR Bible Study supplement? I think it's nice that it ties in with what we are already immersed in.

I usually don't do coloring pages or anything, but for a daily program I can stick with I use various children's deveotionals. I just commit to reading the daily reading each day before we do any other schoolwork and it helps to keep me on target. Big Thoughts for Little People and Right Choices by Kenneth Taylor are nice for the younger ages. I just move on to a new devotional as soon as we finish a book. I have my oldest copy the Bible verse from the reading for the day.

We've used Herein Is Love: Genesis. It has some big topics in it, but my 1st grader ate it up and it opened up some amazingly awesome questions and insights from him. He was 7ish when we started with it. I would prewarn you that it contains a few "choice sentences" about "making love" which I skipped over and simply said, "Went to bed." it wasn't a topic I wanted to discuss or open up with him. In context there was nothing wrong with it (Rachel, Leah, Jacob) but again not something I wanted to discuss. It also talks about the old testament covenant (in regards to circum...) Again though, the book was worth the "hot" topics to be honest. We read one chapter a day and did the questions in the back of the book, we didn't do the crafts of field trips.
I liked the simplicity of it, and the field of questions it opened up. I also enjoyed listening to the boys talk about the lessons or the older one tell the younger one, etc.. It was just as good for an adult as it was for a child. :D
We also use the FIAR Bible Supplement, so this "other" book was additional.

We use the FIAR supplement. There are some great coloring pages here (http://children.calvarychapel.com/site/curriculum.htm) for just about any Bible story you can think of.

We have used the FIAR Bible supplement for K and 1st, as well. I also like the Bible readings from Penny Gardner's site. We used to do the Bible supplement for school time, and Penny's readings for betime devotions.
HTH!
Blessings,
Suz

For some reason I can't get the link maker to work. It pops up, I type it in, I hit OK, it does zippo, zilch, nada......
