We are rowing Angus Lost this week. In the manual it talks about the wheel on on the milktruck looking like a piece of pie and discussing the term wedge. I had a brainstorm - Our Trivial Pursuit game has circular playing pieces with wedges to put in it. We got those out and talked about a wedge and the boys put the little wedges in the circles. They really got into it and I thought it was a good tie-in. I also made a few lapbook component for the milk process and taking care of dogs which are available on the homeschoolshare.com site. :)

Very clever Robin!
I did a little Angus rowing with my boys this week. We did a milk tasting. I bought raw milk, goats milk, and cream along our regular milk. My boys were surprised to hear that people drink goats milk and with the raw milk they could see that the cream rises to the top.
With my older son I talked about pasteurization and homogenization and all things dairy. We ended by making butter from the cream by putting it in a jar with a marble. Great fun!
