We are thinking about starting on "Blueberries for Sal" in the next couple of weeks and I came across this website. Thought I'd share...;)

We live in Oregon, too.

You know, you may want to wait to do this book til summer. The blueberries here get ripe in July.
If you went picking, wouldn't that be fun? You could bring your own silver bucket to "plink, plunk"!
Some farms have really big blueberry varieties like Olympias or Spartans.

Just a thought.

Good idea! I think we will wait, that would probably be a lot of fun. We went to a U-pick peach farm last year and my son had a blast. We are right outside of Portland so there are a ton of places to choose from!

Since we are just starting out, it's hard to decide which book to do when. Right now we are doing Goodnight Moon. I've read that book plenty of times and I cannot believe that I never noticed the picture from the Runaway Bunny! Shows how much I'm paying attention...

Yes, wait unit blueberry picking season begins. We did this last year and it was one of the favorite things for the boys. They still talk about it. :)
