We rowed Jenny's Surprise Summer. My dd loves cats.
Dd had a special day with Grammy in the middle of the week, and my mil told me that dd told her about the book, and how we can pray for wisdom when we had hard decisions to make. When we read the story and talked about the verse mentioned in the manual, we decided that Jenny could be crying or she could be praying when she is sitting on the step with her head down. I know the text doesn't say anything about her praying, but it is nice how we can interpret it to fit with the verse. :thumb:
We used all the resources for HSS, including a shells layer book that goes along with the title Is this a house for Hermit Crab (which we read as a go-along). We did the shells at the end of the week, but I read Hermit Crab before bedtime one night, and the next day she was picking out all the hermit crabs in the illustrations. :D
Then this morning, she shows my oldest her lap book, and proudly exclaims that the the starfish and crab do not have backbones. We now need to make an invertebrate folder for classification.
Another fun go along we read was Too Many Daves from the Dr. Seuss book Sneetches. We rowed The Little Rabbit the week before (another great week!) and it all tied together with the naming of pets.
We have just really had a fun couple of weeks here. We had skipped B4 for several weeks just because it kept getting pushed to the side. Now, it seems we are more than making up for it. I am hoping we can keep up this momentum, we only have 3 more B4 titles left to row.
I hope everyone is have a great spring rowing!
