Ok, yes we like sweet stuff on Monday mornings. I made donuts a few weeks ago, but didn't care too much for the recipe. Anyone have a tried and true recipe?

Thanks,
Kristine

Take a look at Paula Deen's recipes on Food Network. She made some the other night on her show Paula's party.

Do you want raised doughnuts or cake doughnuts? My favorite recipe for raised doughnuts is from http://joycesfinecooking.com She has lots of doughnut recipes, but the one I have used is here. (http://www.joycesfinecooking.com/Doughnut%20Recipes/bread_machine_raised_doughnuts.htm) I use my bread machine for the dough, and then roll it out and cut it. They are yummy! I have made Boston Cremes, or just glazed them with chocolate and sprinkles. We don't have any doughnut shops out here, so we make them fairly often, and like to try them different ways. Krispy Kreme type glaze is yummy on these too!

If you want cake doughnuts, my fav recipe is in an old Betty Crocker book, and I could go find it if that's what you're looking for.

Our favorite raised-donut recipe uses a little mashed potatoes and the donuts are :yum:. I can't get to that recipe right now, but let me know if you are interested and I can look it up after school.

Kristine,

Perhaps I have been watching too much Food Network this week! Here's the lastest donut tip-----Elton Brown made them tonight. His show is called Good Eats.
