What are some of your favorite Kid-Friendly dinners? My kids are all little and I need simple, easy, and uncomplicated recipes, KWIM?
I'll give you one of mine:
Chicken Alfredo
Chicken breasts cooked and cut into bite-size pieces
favorite alfredo sauce- 2 jars
frozen peas and carrots
fettucine pasta
Cook peas and carrots with alfredo sauce and chicken- (already cooked and cut-up) until thoroughly heated. Cook pasta separate then combine for an easy, yummy kid-friendly recipe.:yum: :yum:

Well, we actually use this for lunch, but it's one of the kids favorites:
Tuna Casserole
1 box Pasta Roni Shells and White Cheddar
1 can albacore tuna
Make pasta according to box directions, then stir in tuna.
Note: I used to make a more complicated one from scratch until I discovered the kids like this just as well if not better. :D

Homemade Pizza
My kiddos love to help make homemade pizza. We make our dough (or in a pinch I've used the Pillsbury ready to roll out dough in the cold aisle at the grocery store) and choose our own toppings!
Pizza Dough
Pizza Sauce (jarred sauce is good, homemade is better....spaghetti sauce is what I use)
Mozzarella cheese
Pepperoni
Green peppers
Mushrooms
Bake the crust at 400-450 degrees until light brown. Add toppings and pop back into the oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Spaghetti and MeatballsSo easy and fun to let the kids help make! Of course make the spaghetti and sauce as normal, but for the meatballs, add in grated carrots for extra nutrients and let the kids make the meatballs! They love to help out with this.

my kids love shepherd's pie, taco pie, and chicken pot pie...i guess the theme here is PIE! LOL!
other easy meals that the kids give a :thumb: would be:
tacos, taco salad
baked zita (pasta mixed with leftover spaghetti meat sauce, topped with mozz. cheese and baked)
vietnam fried rice (more with less cookbook)
homemade mac-n-cheese with ham
i think most of these of these ideas are pretty common, but if you want me to share a recipe, i would be happy to.

I've had a fondue pot for a couple of years, but reserved using it for this gourmet "club" we had in our previous neighborhood, or for special occasion dinners (for adults). What a mistake to save it only for those occasions!
This New Year's Eve, I decided to try doing fondue as a special treat. I cut up and blanched some vegetables, French bread, and green apple, and I grilled some chicken tenders and cut them up. We used a simple cheese fondue (very easy to find one you like online) to dip things in.
For dessert, we dipped strawberries, pound cake, rice krispie treats, bananas, and marsmallows in a chocolate fondue. We used Toblerone chocolate mixed with heavy cream :yum: but really, you can just melt some chocolate chips.
It was so much fun, and very easy (just a little labor involved with the chopping--not bad!). Other than grilling the chicken, there's really no cooking. You can buy or make the pound cake and rice krispie treats, or use whatever you have on hand. Also, having several different things to dip allowed each of us to pick our favorites (no picking unwanted stuff out of a dish, etc.). If you're worried about using fondue forks with younger kids, I'd probably just use regular forks. My kids are at the age where using the fondue forks is OK, and they loved being able to use them.
As far as how my kids liked the meal, they said, "We want this exact meal for breakfast tomorrow!"

You've heard about my family's favorite smoothies. Still want my kiddos favorite meals??
Favorite breakfasts include cereal (whole grain/no sugar) topped with fruit; whole grain waffles and yes, those lovely green smoothies. :D
Frequently requested lunches include salad pockets (veggies in a pita), veggie soup and pasta in any form.
Dinners they love include veggie lasagna, enchilada casserole & homemade pizza. We like to do individual size crusts and let them top them with their choice of chopped up veggies. Here again, they love, love, LOVE pasta.
Thanks for starting this thread, it's always nice to get some inspiration from others. :)
