It's me again, ladies! :)

I seem to recall an easy fudge recipe where there was no boiling involved...I think I even tried it last year and it was very good! But, I can't find the recipe! Does anyone have one like this?

Thanks!
Candace

1 can of white frosting
1 (18 ounce) jar of creamy peanut butter

Combine with mixer in small bowl. Spread in a 8x8 to 9x13 pan depending on desired thickenss. Let sit to set. Cut in squares and never tell your secret. :D (Except here, of course, where it's safe ;) )

See, sounds too good to be true, but it's so :yum: . Haven't made it here in a couple of years b/c of DS' peanut allergy, I think I'll try it with SunButter this year.

Oh yeah, I may have to try both of these recipes!

Hollie - do you think the semi sweet or milk chocolate are better for fudge? (or anyone else who knows!) :)

BEst Fudge Ever....err, ok, really, really good fudge ever:

Mama Suz's Microwave Fudge

18 oz. chips (chocolate, peanut butter, white chocolate, butterscotch, whatever)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 to 2 tsp flavoring (vanilla, peppermint, rum, orange, whatever)
Nuts, if you like them

Dump chips into microwave bowl. Dump milk into bowl. Stir with big spoon. Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes. Stir. MIcrowave in 30 second increments until chips are melted and fudge is smooth. Stir in flavoring and nuts. Pour into greased or lined 8 X 8 pan. Cool in pan overnight. Remove from pan, cut and "cure" for about 24 hours. Makes aas much as you can keep from eating and decide to share.

Some of our favorite combinations:
Candy Cane Fudge - white chocolate, peppermint flavoring and red food coloring swirled through
Butter Pecan - butterscotch chips, vanilla flavoring and chopped pecans
Dark Chocolate Orange - just what it says
Double layer - make one batch of plain ol' chocolate and pour it in the pan. Real Quick make a batch of peanut butter and pour it over the top. The two layers will "cure" into each other and give you double layer fudge.
Rocky Road - chocolate chips, vanilla flavoring, peanuts and mini marshmallows. You have to stir in the marshmallows after it's cooled off a few minutes or they'll melt.

HTH!

Suz, that's the recipe my sister uses all the time except she uses 12 oz of chocolate chips and 6 oz of butterscotch chips EXCEPT, of course, if you don't have the butterscotch on hand like I didn't last week when I made this recipe  Then you just add the extra cho. ones.

I did it on the stove top, though, and added pecans. Jim said it was the best fudge I'd ever made. Now that's a high compliment from a fudge connoisseur like he is ;)

Suz?

When making the peanut butter layer for the double layer fudge, how much peanut butter do you put in per can of sweetened condensed milk?

I really want to try that version.:yum:

Thanks.

Okay, edited to add: My son figured out that you use peanut butter CHIPS. This momma is embarrassed.

This is the BEST Fudge I have ever made or ate. :yum: :yum: :yum:

I did fudge and other goodies last year for our local emergency crews. I also made it for family members and they loved it too.

I did chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, vanilla chips, and a couple of others. I didn't put in any kind of nuts though, never know when someone may be allergic or if small children will be eating them.

Try these, you won't go wrong.
