It is called Mocha Punch and it is sooo yummy! I only make it at Christmas and New Years cause, I promise...I would drink the whole punch bowl all by myself! I have even had coffee hater's say they like this and my children looooove it! This is a smooth, creamy punch that is like sipping a chocolate shake.

Ingredients
1- 1 1/2 quarts Water
1/2 cup Instant chocolate drink mix
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Instant coffee granules
1/2 Gallon vanilla ice cream
1/2 Gallon chocolate ice cream
1 cup Whipped cream, whipped
Chocolate curls, optional

Preparation
In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Remove from the heat. Add drink mix, sugar and coffee; stir until dissolved. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. About 30 minutes before serving, pour into a punch bowl. Add ice cream by scoopfuls; stir until partially melted. Garnish with dollops of whipped cream and chocolate curls if desired.

Sounds so yummy. You can also pour some honey in a small bowl and some festive red/green sugar sprinkles on a plate then dip the rim of your mugs in honey then sprinkles to decorate your cups. Of course you will have to ladle your mocha in after.........

When you say instant chocolate drink mix, do you mean like Nestle's Quick? Or the Hot chocolate mix like Swiss Miss instant Cocoa?

I just assemble everything when I get there. You will, of course, still make your base in advance. :)

I love this, too!

I buy a gal of ice cream that's half choc/half vanilla and make a half a recipie because it makes a lot. (sorry, I can never spell the word recipie)

Jackie,

I'm just now perusing all the pages of The FIAR Kitchen and have been copying and pasting the wonderful recipes like mad.

This punch looks fabulous! Can I ask a few questions about ingredients?

1 cup Whipped cream, whipped (Can you use Cool Whip, or do you use heavy cream?)

1/4 cup Instant coffee granules (Do you recommend a particular brand? I'm assuming it is O.K. to use decaf?)

Can't wait to try it!

Cool whip is just fine!
I use the cheapest instant coffee I could find, because I would never just drink that stuff and call it coffee.;)

A friend of mine made it and used the General Foods International White mocha coffee powder and she said it was really good that way too.
