We found the book Helen and the Great Quiet by Rick Fitzgerald at our library. It goes along really well with The Quiet Way Home. It's about how a girl's uncle and aunt help her to be quiet and she hears things she was missing. The art is really neat in it, too. The outdoors are not colored at the beginning of the book and as she quiets down and hears more and more, the color highlights more and more of what she's hearing. We thought it was kind of neat.
