Any volume. Dh (Air Force) applied to move to Germany- either Berlin or Stuttgart (he also applied for job openings in the Azores and Naples).

A New Coat for Anna is somewhere in Europe, post WWII. It doesn't specify so you might could make it Germany.

"The Duchess Bakes a Cake" might also be in Germany. Many of the children's names sound German- Gunhilde, Brunhilde, Mathilde, Willibald. You could just "set" it in medieval Germany and use this as a springboard for talking about castles, etc. or as much of the German Middle Ages as you like.

Thank you, Katie. DBAC is a book I never 'rowed w/ my older dc. I've been wanting to do that one too... maybe we'll extend the study a few weeks and do both.
