Sometimes I just need a little confirmation that we are doing the right thing...and God always finds the neatest ways to bless our homeschool adventures in those moments.
So, today's "miracle" is that I had to go to a meeting this afternoon. What I really wanted to do was make Lammingtons with my little girl since we're studying Australia (The Pumpkin Runner) this week. However, I'd given that up since some of the ingredients are just too hard to find here. When I got to Starbucks (and that's already a bit of a miracle...to have Starbucks here in the heart of mainland China:lol: ) I saw LAMMINGTONS!. How funny. I bought one to share after supper tonight.
Last winter when we were studying Warm As Wool, I was lamenting the fact that we live in a huge city and I couldn't show my little one wool. That very morning, on our way to the corner store to buy eggs and milk, we saw the street lined with men on ladders painting glue on the tree leaves. Then they were gluing huge globs of wool on to make it look like snow :roflol: Anna got to sink her little arms deep in big piles of raw wool, smell the lanolin, and they even let her fill her pockets with wool to take home.
Thanks for letting me share my happy moment. ~Jo
