I just tried to request this at my library but they don't have it. I see it's OOP but I'm wondering if it's hard to find used at a decent price? Some of those OOP's are easy to find at a good price and others are like The Giraffe That Walked to Paris (which, thankfully, my library has:clap: ) forget about owning it:unsure:

I bought our copy on ebay for a very reasonable price. I think I spent about $5 including shipping. Good luck! You should be able to find it if you keep your eye out! :)

You can let your librarian know that Red Carpet is needed for your lesson plan and ask if they can get it via "interlibrary loan". There may be a small charge ($2 or something) to cover the postage of another library mailing it to your library.

I know my library copy of Red Carpet (which we'll do next week) came from Eastern Oregon University, for example.

I found a copy at a library sale for less than $2. I'd keep an eye on ebay or amazon used. I wouldn't pay much more than 10 or 15. I would definately keep searching for this one. My boys LOVE it. My 2 yr old was coloring at the table today with a pencil. He asked for a crayon, and the 5 yr old handed him one. a minute later I looked, and he'd drawn with a red crayon and told me "it's the red carpet- so I read it today to my 2 yr old this morning :D

Thanks everyone, I ordered one off Amazon for 9$, I rarely make purchases like this and mainly use the library, in light of the fact that I just found out a popular preschool in my area costs $1800:eek: for a school year, not including the gas to get there! I don't feel too guilty about these purchases:D

You'll love it, it's worth owning. The Red Carpet was a book that I borrowed from the library before our FIAR days and we loved it then. I was so glad to see it as a Before FIAR story later on. Of course, we own it now too. It's definately not an expensive OOP book to own. :)
