So I admit, I haven't been using the Christian Character supplement as frequently as I would like with vols 1-3. With us starting Vol 4 and having the verses right there, I've been making an attempt to incorporate a verse into our FIAR study.
So last night I wrote in my FIAR planner the reference Ephesians 4:26. After reading the story I was able to glance at the reference, look up the verse and we talked about how May didn't get angry when she couldn't go visit her Grandma and how when we get angry we are to follow God's word: "In your anger, do not sin."
I didn't realize what a perfect verse it would be for my little boys who in their frustration, tend to lash out in a physical manner. I had many opportunities today to remind them, "In your anger, do not sin" and by tonight all of us have it memorized! :roflol:
It was less than 5 minutes of lesson, but it has impacted our entire day. What a great way to incorporate scripture into our schooling and our lives! Thanks Jane Claire!
