This movie is very dramatic in demonstrating the Holocost so I don't recommend it for very sensitive kids.
BUT - you could watch the beginning and stop the movie before Hannah reaches the door during the Passover Celebration. You will see MUCH of a Passover dinner w/o interuption.
You will hear the words
Passover
Sedar
Hannakah
Matzah
You will see the Matzah hidden.
Also, after the door is open and Hannah passes through, you will see how the way people lived in Poland (I think) in 1941, a Jewish wedding with a Choopa (vocabulary word) and you will see how the Jews were treated during the Holocost. Kaddish is also another vocabulary word that is heard during the dramatic portion of the movie.
I enjoyed making the connections from the book and the movie.
I also want to watch the animated movie Prince of Egypt. I believe the first Passover occurs in that movie.
