We read it last week when we were rowing The Bee Tree, and my girls liked it. At the end (when she remembered the scene of putting honey on the book), my girls immediately exclaimed, "It's the same girl from The Bee Tree!" Of course, they didn't get as emotional about it as I did, but they still liked it ;)

Before rowing The Bee Tree, I had never heard of Patricia Polacco -- but we loved that book so much that we had to get some more of her books on our next trip to the library, including Thank You, Mr. Falker -- which will definitely be read over and over during the three weeks we have it from the library! I love the wonderful literature that we are able to enjoy with our dc!
