I just came across this and thought I would share for those possibly rowing The Hickory Chair and/or study the eye/vision/sight etc..

The National Eye Institute has some free resources available. On the website it has some line and interactive eye diagrams.

Then, under resources you can order 1 free copy of an activity booklet for kids ( they have 2 - one each for 2 different age groups). Then also look under Education programs and their is a free 16 page download for a Vision Teaching Guide that includes lesson plans.

Here is the link to the main page :

Enjoy!

Thanks for the link! I just downloaded the b/w version of the booklets (instead of ordering the color books). I also downloaded the color eye facts chart and the vision lesson plan, and put them all in my Hickory Chair folder on my hard drive for later. Great resource!

We are fostering an international child with vision challenges. Although she's receiving wonderful eye care, I never knew of the many resources available!
Thanks for posting this info.
