Hand-colored, Heavy-Duty Laminated Story Disks

These little disks may become your children’s favorite part of a well-loved curriculum. Each of the 70 Five in a Row selected stories has an accompanying disk that is used
to explore Geography. The setting of the story gives your children a wonderful, relevant reason to discover the countries of the world as well as the states and regions
of the United States. Each story disk is placed on a large map (Purchase your own from an office supply store or a Mart-type store) and re-applied each day for the five days that you study the story unit. After five days of map work, the very youngest know that there is a country or state associated with that week’s story…and the older ones can place the disk on the correct spot of the map themselves.

Several weeks later you can gather the disks you’ve
used and say, “Hey! Can we still find each of these on
our map?” Review is easy and brings back good memories from each of the previously studied stories. You can continue to review with all the disks you’ve used throughout the year because children enjoy learning
and remembering where their favorite storybook
characters live.

The heavy lamination keeps these disks in usable condition through the learning years of all your children. One sheet covers the selected stories in all volumes of Five in a Row 1, 2, & 3.
